One of the mainstays of Hammer films was Michael Ripper. His first acting
assignment was in Twice Branded in 1935 and his first appearance
in a Hammer film was in 1947 in The Dark Road. He then appeared
in over 30 films by Hammer studiosand he was not sure of how many films
he appeared in in his career "I made films every six weeks and each
one took 12 days," he said. "I don't know how many I made, probably
hundreds."
