Rue
Morgue I recently discovered this magazine and after two issues I am a big fan. They cover and review new release horror films along with classics on dvd, music, books, merchandise and all things related to the genre. I can't recommend it highly enough. A very high quality job all the way around, including the paper stock and printing. |

| The
Dark Side British horror magazine. Covers new and classic horror dvd's with lots of reviews. Also includes info on toys and music. Since it is from Brittain, the dvd releases are mostly in PAL format. It is interesting because there are a lot of British and European releases that they cover that have not made it to the states (yet!) |

Video
Watchdog Tim Lucas has been a major authority on the horror film genre for years. He has also done excellent commentaries for DVD's such as Blood and Black Lace and Whip and the Body. In fact he is probably the foremost expert on all things relating to Mario Bava outside of Bava's family. Every issue has inciteful info and reviews on all things related to horror and B movies. |

Cult Cuts
This is a new magazine out of Seattle that is making an impact on the horror movie magazine scene. I have issue two and after reading the in-depth reviews of movies such as Alucarda, Who Saw Her Die and Desecration, I am a fan. No color yet, but perhaps that will arrive once this gem of a magazine finds its readership. |
