12 Sep 04 - Well, the summer is winding down and it is time to start writing again. I have the web hosting secure for another year, this time with a new company, InMotionHosting , whom I trust will do a fine job in the coming year. I had used the services of ICDSoft the last two years, but their transfer restrictions started proving too costly as they charge $5 per GB above 5GB of downloads. They also had an issue with some screen shots of scream queens who happened to be lacking much in the way of clothing when the image was captured. Another major change over the summer is that I am no longer a part of the tireless group known as the Rogue Reviewers. Alas, I was not able to keep up with my obligations as a member and had to withdraw due to time constraints in my schedule. Universal has recently announced more sets of films
in the Monster Legacy series. The latest announcements are Creature
From the Black Lagoon: The Legacy Collection (Creature from the Black
Lagoon (1954) /Revenge of the Creature (1955) /The Creature Walks Amoung
Us (1956), The
Mummy: The Legacy Collection, (The Mummy (1932) /Mummy's Hand (1940)
/Mummy's Tomb (1942) /Mummy's Ghost (1942) /Mummy's Curse (1944)) and
Invisible
Man: The Legacy Collection, (The Invisible Man (1933) /Invisible Man
Returns (1940) /Invisible Agent (1942) /Invisible Woman (1941) /Invisible
Man's Revenge (1944)) No news on a new collectors set like the previous
Universal set that included a bust of all of the principle characters.
All are available on October 19, 2004 and are list priced at $29.99, but
are available at amazon.com for $20.99 each.
11 Feb 04 - A couple weeks ago it was announced that Universal would be re-releasing most of their classic monster films in multi disk sets. There is Dracula: The Legacy Collection (Dracula (1930)/Dracula Spanish language (1930)/Dracula's Daughter (1936)/House of Dracula (1945)/Son of Dracula (1943). Next is Frankenstein: The Legacy Collection (Frankenstein (1931)/Bride of Frankenstein (1935)/Son of Frankenstein (1939)/Ghost of Frankenstein (1942)/ House of Frankenstein (1944). Followed is Wolf Man: The Legacy Collection which includes The Wolf Man (1941)/Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943)/She-Wolf of London (1946)/Werewolf of London (1935). There is also a box set of all three collection entitled The Monster Legacy Gift Set which also includes three small statuettes.
31 Jan 04 - "Why on earth would anyone want to see a bad movie? I have no desire to see one" - My wife. 01 Oct 03 - Here is a link to my dvd collection which I am proud to present to you. I use the program DVD Profiler to keep track of and catalogue all of my dvd's and they have a nifty online feature that allows others to access your collection. http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mycollection.asp?alias=Rastacat1. 10 Sep 03 - Happy birthday to webhorror, happy birthday to webhorror... This is my one year anniversary. Thanks bunches to all who come to my site and support horror, B, sci-fi and all of the related genres of film that are represented here. 31 Aug 03 - Two news items: First, the Rogue Reviewers are welcoming yet another new member to our growing ranks of reviewers as we set out on our plan to conquor the world... Wait you should disregard the second part of that last sentence and just welcome Vice Central to our group of B, horror, sci-fi and other related genre films reviewers. The second bit of news is on the passing of Charles Bronson on 30 Aug 03 in Los Angeles. R.I.P. Chuck. 29 Aug 03 - I would like to give a big welcome to the newest member of the Rogue Reviewers: Varied Celluloid.com! 25 Aug 03 - Well it certainly is a small world after all. Just over a month in a new state at a new job and I find a fan of the Rogues Reviewers. And not just any fan, but a fellow B movie junkie and also writer of reviews. Look for Kenner at geocities and www.reelcriticism.com/ziggyrealm. It's a small, small world. 28 Jul 03 - The Rogue Reviewers (www.roguereviewers.com) are doing it again: Another roundtable review for the month of August and this time it is going to be "Before They Were Stars". Be on the lookout around the 15th of the month for the reviews to start appearing at a Rogue Reviewers website near you. 14 July 03 - Well all, what a month it has been. I have moved from Massachusetts to Minnesota, gotten laid off from my job of almost 5 years (albiet temporarily), started another job as the store manager of a Movie Gallery video store, went on vacation for two weeks including a week of camping for my honeymoon... Yes, I said honeymoon. I was married on July 4th in Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Oh yeah, I also turned 40 last month. So, with all of that going on I have not been able to get to updates or new reviews. But don't fret, in the next week or so I will have new releases updated and at least one new review.
